On July 17, in the middle of the night, my nice old used car that I worked hard to pay for, got totaled. I was in the process of making the car mine, and had it safely parked for the entire month since I got it back from the mechanic. I paid 2,000 to fix the car prior to this, because it had been in an accident with its previous owner. Someone who I thought I could trust, and called my friend, asked to borrow the car this night and said he would bring it back in no time. Next thing you know, I’m receiving a call from police officers saying he totaled the car into a tree was being arrested for a DUI. I realized I made a huge mistake by lending my car, one that I don’t think I will ever forget. This was supposed to be my first car ever. I was so excited and proud of myself for finally being able to get myself a car on my own. Now all that is gone. I ask you to please have sympathy, right now I am hurting because it may not seem like a lot of money to some, but for me it is a big loss. I’m an independent woman and I pay all my bills and provide for myself to survive. I am devastated. Anything would be appreciated so I can work back on getting another old used car and try again. Thank you so much for listening.
