Late last night, my nephew Adam (18) and his dad lost everything in a devastating apartment fire in Campbell River.
Thankfully, both of them made it out safely—but their home, belongings, and sense of stability are now gone.
My nephew had just started building his life. He recently graduated from several boating programs at BCIT, proud and hopeful about the future. This fire took away not only his possessions, but also his footing. Without rental insurance, they’re left with nothing, and he’s now couch surfing while trying to figure out next steps.
He’s the kind of person who wouldn’t normally ask for help—but right now, he truly needs it. From clothing, essentials, and toiletries to support for first and last month’s rent, every little bit will help him take a step toward rebuilding.
Our goal is to raise funds to help them find safe housing, replace basic necessities, and ease the overwhelming financial burden this has created.
If you’ve ever faced sudden loss or had to start over, you know how important community support can be. Please consider donating, sharing, or sending prayers their way.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. Your kindness makes all the difference right now
