Many thousands of families across the Gulf Coast of Florida and the entire Southeastern U.S. have just lost everything to Hurricane Helene. In an instant, their homes, memories, and every possession they’ve worked for were obliterated.
Among these devastated families are my dear friends, Jamie Horton and her family. Jamie is one of the truest, most loyal people I’ve ever known, always standing by me through thick and thin. Her husband, Justin, has been nothing short of a knight in shining armor—welcoming me into their lives with open arms from the moment we met. And their children? Two of the most precious, joyful little souls you could ever meet.
Together, they created a home that was more than just a place to live—it was a sanctuary of warmth, love, and happiness. A place where their kids could grow and thrive, and where anyone fortunate enough to know them felt safe and welcomed. Now, that home—their refuge—is gone. Completely destroyed. Every room, every cherished moment, every sign of the life they built together, wiped away in the storm’s path.
They didn’t deserve this. No one does. But Jamie, Justin, and their children are now displaced, trying to figure out how to rebuild from the ground up. They’re currently evacuated to Orlando, facing an uncertain future, and they need help. The road to recovery is long, and the emotional toll is unimaginable.
I understand that so many people need help right now, but if you can find it in your heart to donate or share, it would mean the world. Every penny raised will go directly to the Hortons as they try to piece their lives back together. I am pleading for your help—whether it’s a donation or simply spreading the word. Please, let’s help them start over. They need us now more than ever.
Thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart,
Lindsay Hayes - friend of the Horton’s trying to do everything in my power to help.
