Help Chris Rebuild after losing everything to Helene

My name is Andrea and my older brother Chris moved to Florida from N. KY our hometown about 7 years ago. On Thursday, September 26th he evacuated with a few belongings like thousands of others in preparation of Helene the cat 4 hurricane that was headed their way (he was in Redington Shores, FL)

Unfortunately nothing can fully prepare you for an event such as this.

Imagine waking up the next morning and realizing that everything you have is gone.

It took until Sunday to be able to get back to the island.

What he found there was beyond devastating.

Everything he owned had been destroyed.

The storm surge overtook his home and rose about 3-5 feet.

The surge of water, sewage, and sand decimated everything.

I realize he is very lucky, lucky to be alive and lucky that he was able to escape.

Lucky that he was able to take his car, as so many have lost that too.

He has a temporary place to stay, but also needs to find a new place to live.

He has nothing but some clothing, his work laptop and a couple pairs of shoes. That’s it. Everything else was destroyed.

I would love to be able to help him buy bedding, pillows, furniture, dishes, utensils, a microwave, clothing, all the normal necessities in life that we all need.

These donated funds will go directly towards purchasing these items.

My brother is one of a kind person. Ask any of his friends or family, they will say, he’s just golden. He’s always looking out for everyone else and I just want to look out for him. He’s a very modest person and lives a very modest life.

I know this has been life altering for him. It’s extremely overwhelming to think about loosing everything and having to replace everything you’ve lost or worked for your whole life.
