Help a Family With Disaster Relief From a Tornado Impact

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for support for two remarkable people who have experienced a devastating loss. A powerful tornado tore through Bloomington, Indiana, making a direct hit on Jay and Pina Patel’s longtime family-run motel. The damage was extensive and heartbreaking, and in a matter of moments, decades of hard work were swept away.

Jay and Pina are some of the most hardworking, humble, and generous individuals I’ve ever known. They immigrated to the U.S. with little, and over the years built a modest, honest life through dedication and resilience. Their motel wasn’t just their livelihood—it was a place where they poured their hearts into serving others and building community.

Now, in the wake of this disaster, with the damage to the motel, they are suffering income loss. They are facing both emotional and financial hardship, and we want to help ease that burden however we can.
