If you know our sister, you know she spends most of her time serving others. You may know her from PTA, church callings/gatherings, community events, and volunteering. She might've taught your kid preschool or maybe you're lucky enough to just be her friend.

Her family has experienced a major medical emergency. She woke about 2 a.m. to the sound of her husband falling down the stairs, to find him barely aware of what happened. After paramedics took him to the local hospital, they determined he had a skull fracture and a brain bleed. He is now sedated in the neuro ICU at the U of U hospital, being watched every hour and scanned as often as necessary. The cause of the fall is unknown at this time, but this accident came at a time when insurance coverage will be ending and the ambulance rides and ICU bills will come piling in, especially as he's potentially facing weeks of hospitalization while he heals.

My sister would never ask for this help, but if anyone deserves it, it's her. She and her family will be facing a lot of questions, stress, and anxiety, and anything that can lighten her load is our goal.
