From Service to Others — Now I Need Your Help
Thanks to the generosity of those who contributed to my first campaign, I was able to replace my camper van's motor — and I'm truly grateful for that. Unfortunately, the goal wasn't fully reached, so I wasn't able to get a generator (essential for hot days when I'm out with my dog away from campgrounds) or a backup transportation option (to keep the van plugged in at a campground during the heat). Either one would have made a real difference.
Now there's a new hurdle: the motor has a faulty oxygen intake sensor. It's not a complicated fix on its own, but accessing it requires removing the entire motor — which means significant labor costs.
To make things harder, I've been nearly out of work since my shoulder tendon tears, down to just 8 hours a week for the past 12 weeks and counting. That kind of severe underemployment leaves nothing left over for repairs or the other items from the original goal. I'm also relocating to address some of these challenges.
It is genuinely hard for me to put out another ask. If you've already given, please know how much it meant — and if you're able, please share this campaign with others who might be in a position to help.
Tip: GoFundMe defaults to taking a 17.9% tip for itself — you can change that to zero when you donate.
