Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I’m going through one of the hardest times in my life.

On February 15, I lost my dad. He was not only my father, but the person who held everything together for our home. He took care of the rent, the bills, and made sure we were always okay.

Since his passing, I’ve been trying to navigate both the emotional loss and the sudden financial responsibility on my own. While I was able to take care of his funeral arrangements with the help and support of family and friends, it left me struggling to keep up with rent, utilities, and basic living expenses.

I am now facing the very real possibility of losing the home we shared.

I am doing everything I can to get back on my feet and take over all responsibilities, but this has all happened so quickly, and I’m trying to catch up before it’s too late. I have a job aligned to start working in the next week. I won’t receive a paycheck until after two weeks though.

I’m asking for help to cover:

• Past-due rent

• Upcoming rent to stay housed

• Utilities and essential bills

• Basic necessities during this transition

Any amount truly helps more than I can put into words. Even sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to me.

My dad worked hard his entire life to take care of our home, and I’m trying my best to hold things together after losing him.
