Rebecca here, your favorite part-time Falck EMT who survived medic school.
Heeeyyyyy so due to some very cool and totally predictable Falck/union shenanigans, picking up livable hours as a part-timer has officially become a joke. Prognosis: poor.
To stay afloat and actually work 9-1-1 as a paramedic, I need to jump counties (Riverside or San Bernardino). That requires my state paramedic card now, before the new regulations hit January 1st.
The damage: $300 for the state card, $90 for Live Scan, and $5 for the coffee that will emotionally support me through this process. Total: $395.
This lets me continue my private ambulance existence, just upgraded to suffering in San Bernardino as a clueless baby medic instead of suffering here.
If you’ve ever worked EMS, you already know how stupid this pipeline is.
Help a bro out. I appreciate you more than you know.
