Hello everyone! My name is Rebecca and I’m 15, about to turn 16 in a couple months. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 12 and since then it has affected both my life and my emotional state.

I can't drive, ride a bike, take a normal shower by myself or even cook! My mom is always scared I would hurt myself or end up burning my hands or set the house on fire. I can't be independent anymore and there are so many things I want to do but can't or I might end up hurting myself. Leaving the house to go out with friends is also limited and I'm never really allowed to be out of my parent's sight. At any point, I can fall down the stairs, hit my head on the corner of the table, or knock my head on the floor, or even bang myself on a sharp object.

Medical alert dogs can be trained to let me know when a seizure is about to happen. These dogs are super smart and amazing but of course, they're highly expensive. If I could afford one of these dogs to call my best friend, it would change my life, giving me independence and security. The wait list is long so raising funds quickly is very important. Every donation is helpful and is extremely appreciated. All I want is to live a normal life like everyone else.
