Support Rebecca’s Journey: From Survival to Recovery
Donation protected
In late October 2024, 32 year old Rebecca ("Bex") Suen was rushed to the hospital in Humboldt with severe stomach pain. What started as a routine issue quickly spiraled into a life-threatening crisis. Her heart began to fail, causing her other organs to shut down. She was then airlifted to San Francisco where she remained comatose and spent weeks on life support, relying on machines to keep her alive. Doctors warned her family she might need a heart transplant. They prepared for the worst.
Against all odds, Bex’s heart, liver, and kidneys have started to recover, but her journey is far from over. Now in a Los Angeles hospital where she faces months—if not years—of recovery.
Being bedridden for so long caused circulation issues, leading to the devastating likelihood of below-knee amputations on both legs. Despite her miraculous progress, Bex has a long and uncertain road ahead, forever changing this world travelers life.
This journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for her and her family, who have endured the high costs of lodging, meals, and lost income to stay by her side. The expenses continue to mount as her recovery continues.
Bex is a fighter, but she needs your help. Your donation will directly support her medical and recovery expenses, giving her the chance to heal and move forward.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Every contribution helps bring hope to Bex and her family during this difficult time.
