For those of you who know our family well, you can attest to the fact that this has been a long and bumpy road. It is a story too long to tell completely. For over a decade, our daughter Rebecca has struggled with unexplained illness, countless doctor visits, endless tests, and treatments that brought only temporary relief. Despite all of this, she has fought bravely through years of unanswered questions and unresolved health challenges.
Now, we are faced with the most difficult chapter yet. Rebecca is battling severe immune deficiency and breast cancer.
Our family is doing everything we can to support her, but the costs of specialized medical care, medications, and the travel required for treatment are more than we can manage alone. We are part of a share ministry, which will cover only a portion of the doctors’ visits, tests, and treatments. Many of the most important therapies, supportive care options, as well as travel and accommodations, must still be paid out of pocket.
Despite the challenges Rebecca has faced physically, she has shown strength and unwavering determination in her healing journey in taking charge in the most exhausting of times, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Despite all of these efforts, she is becoming more weakened and exhausted and is now in need of more specialized care for more direct and intensive treatment.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters to help us ease the financial burden so Rebecca can focus all her energy on healing. Every donation, either big or small will go directly toward her uncovered medical care and treatments, medications, travel, and accommodations.
If you cannot give financially, we ask that you share Rebecca’s story and keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this difficult time. Our prayer, of course, is for complete healing and the ability for Rebecca to move forward and enjoy life and that God would use this journey for His good.
With gratitude,
Jim and Mary LaMont
