Help Rebecca & Baby Find Safety and Stability

Dear friends, family, and community,

I’m writing on behalf of our dear friend Rebecca, who is facing an immensely painful and urgent situation. As many of you know, Rebecca is expecting her first child in December. What should be a time of excitement and preparation has been shattered by the deeply painful actions of her partner. This person's actions were extensive, manipulative, and deceitful and have severely threatened the health, safety, and well-being of Rebecca, the baby, and many others. No one imagined her partner would put her in this position.

Rebecca had given up her financial independence at the urging of her partner, only to recently discover the dangerous and harmful reality of their ongoing behavior. Now, just months before her due date, she is urgently seeking a safe home and facing a mountain of unexpected expenses. On top of this, Rebecca is grappling with the immense grief and shock of the loss of what their relationship appeared to be, their plans for their family and future, and trying to manage stress to prevent a flare-up of a serious autoimmune condition, all while preparing for the arrival of the baby.

What This Fundraiser Will Help With:

-Securing safe housing close to her support network.

-Assisting with basic living expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries during this vulnerable period and the first year of the baby’s life.

-Medical care to manage her pregnancy and autoimmune condition.

-Creating stability for Rebecca and the baby as they begin this new chapter.

Rebecca has been an incredibly giving and compassionate person throughout her life. She’s devoted herself to sincerely caring for others, whether through working with children and the elderly or contributing to communities in New York and Berlin as an artist and writer. Now she needs our help to create a safe, stable environment for her and the baby.
