Help Rebecca and Her Mother Save Their Home

My name is Rebecca, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping that you can find it in your heart to help my mother and me during the hardest time of our lives.

For the past 15 years, my mother and I have made a home together—through the good days and the difficult ones. My mother is a fighter. After surviving lung cancer, she has faced countless challenges, not just in her health, but in keeping our lives together, ensuring we had a roof over our heads, warmth during the cold winters, and the strength to push forward, even when things seemed impossible.

Now, we are facing a crisis that feels insurmountable. Our home insurance company has informed us that in order to keep our policy, we need to completely redo our porch and roof. We’ve done everything we can, seeking out multiple contractors, and the cheapest quote we’ve received is $28,000—an amount we simply do not have.

My mother is permanently disabled due to her cancer and ongoing health struggles. I am a nursing student, pouring everything I have into my education in hopes of building a better future, but even with all of my hard work, I’m struggling to make ends meet.

The deadline for the repairs is fast approaching—February 27, 2025—and without these critical changes, we will lose our home. We’ve explored every option we can think of, and now we’ve come to you.
