Rebecca Chaplin, Dayton Jacques, Avery, and neighbors need a bridge. And we can help them build one. <3
Hurricane Helene left their home inaccessible, by obliterating the bridge from Stoney Fork Rd to their home and their neighbors.
Rebecca and Dayton are a living committment to abundance and generosity. Weeks before the storm, they purchased a tiny home and took out a loan to build out needed infrastructure to support a beloved. The tiny home is gone. What used to be a stream is now a river that they will have to ford with their beautiful 6 year old daughter. As winter comes, this is not a viable solution. Rebuilding a bridge is essential to their home's liveability.
By day, Rebecca works for AARP Mountain Region, cultivating age-friendly communities & empowering elders as social change leaders. Dayton works as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Mission truly doing lifesaving work for the littlest ones in our region. Day in and day out they pour into Western North Carolina.
Their neighbors recently relocated to Barnardsville after losing so much to the deadly fires in Gatlinburg.
The cost of rebuilding their bride will be significant, but our support can be a real help to them. Thank you for anything you can give!
