Hi, my name is Reagan Mwebaze from Uganda.
I have been in the U.K with The Message Trust on a gap year doing the Message Academy, undergoing ministry training and taking part in mission opportunities allover the UK. I have done placements with Life Church youth, Barnabus Manchester (homeless shelter), The Message Bus (evangelism for youth) and serving at the Message Community Church.
It has been a blessing to see so many people say yes to Jesus and also I have grown so much in my relationship with Jesus, spending lots of time reading the Word. I have had trainings and teachings ,then been ent out to practically serve in the communities, through the Love Where You Live project, praying for people all over the UK, leading different youth activities and using my music skills to lead people into worship.
My 10 month gap year has sadly come to an end, but what is more exciting is from earlier this year I have been praying and asking God to open doors for me to Be able to do theology studies as I want to get lots of teachings on the Word, grow more in my relationship with Jesus, and be able to equip myself for work in ministry as a missionary wherever Gods takes me. I applied at Nazarene Bible College and had interviews with them and by Gods' goodness they offered me a place to study Theology: Youth and Community. My place is conditional on me having a church to support my fees and passing the IELTS English exam needed for international students to study at undergraduate level in the UK. I have had interviews with Fords-Lane Evangelical Church in Bramhall and they are going to have me as ministry trainee and as my school placement church and support my fees.
I am fundraising to be able to pay for the visa application fees, Immigration Health Surcharge, and fees to process the government requirements to do this. I am currently in the UK on a Charity Worker Visa and need to apply to switch this to a Student Visa by 25th July.
Thank you very much for your support and prayers! I am deeply grateful to everyone supporting me in this journey.
