Help Reagan Rebuild After Tropical Storm Beryl

Hi there. My name is Reagan and I'm a single mother of two beautiful girls. When Tropical Storm Beryl came through Montgomery on Monday morning, I was asleep in my bed. Around 9:10 AM, the power went out and woke me up. Within about 5 minutes, I heard a loud crackling sound. I thought it was hail on my roof and rolled to the right to look for the hail out of the rear window you see in the photo above. As I rolled over in the bed, I saw the corner of my bedroom ceiling peeling downward like a can. I quickly jumped out of my bed and literally hugged the back wall as my entire bedroom ceiling came crashing down on my bed. Then a waterfall of water came through my house, flooding every room in the house. The tree is still resting on my furnace in the attic, broke plumbing, damaged electrical, HVAC, and broke the gas line. We had to rush to get away from the house and get my pets out to get the fire department to come and shut off the gas. The tree is also on my neighbor's house on the other side and likely saving my house from being completely split in 2 by the enormous weight of the tree. It was/is all very traumatic. The only saving grace is my daughters were with their father in Conroe so they didn't have to go through all of that.

I have Allstate insurance and found an amazing contractor who is going to help me put my house back together, and invoice my insurance company directly so I won't be out of pocket for the repairs.

My insurance deductible is about $5,000 and not something I had been able to save up yet. It is likely going to take us months to put my house back together and I'm going to be couch surfing for a while until my insurance is able to find a hotel for me, my daughters, and pets.

It pains me to even ask for help with this, but I'm just trying to get enough donations to help with the insurance deductible so I can focus on this long process one day/step at a time. Any amount is appreciated. Bless you.
