Help Rayne and Ryan Hardy accident medical PLEASE
Donation protected
There was a time when my sister Rayne was in a completely dark place. She was in an abusive and controlling relationship. Unbeknownst to her friends and family, she lived in fear for the safety of her children and of herself. Then a Marine named Ryan moved in next-door. He almost immediately protected my sister, then he saved her, and then over time he fell madly in love with her. He adopted my nieces and nephew and gave them the father that they never thought they would have.
On Thursday February 25, while driving home from work, Ryan was in a head on collision with a semi-truck transporting lumber. It was miraculous that he survived the accident, but he suffered a significant fracture of his skull, a dislocated and broken hip, spinal chord damage and extensive injuries to his head and face. The neurosurgeon explained that they removed as many of the fragments of his skull from his brain that they could, and put a titanium plate in his head. He had frontal lobe damage and extensive reconstruction surgery to his face. His hip was reconstructed during an 8-hour surgery the next day.
It has been six days since the accident and I am waiting in the parking garage at UT Hospital to see and hug my sister for just a moment.
I find myself helpless, not able to help my sister shoulder this unimaginable burden, incapable of drying her tears or alleviating her fears. What I can do is reach out to the community that has time and again gone above and beyond for those in need... and ask for your help. If you can give anything, it would be appreciated more than you will ever know.
The road ahead for Ryan and Rayne is filled with so many challenges and hardships. Anything that you could give to help with existing and future medical expenses, to help with his inability to work and provide for his family, for the hope that one day he will walk again and return to my sister, complete.
Thank you. I love you all. Please, be safe and hug your loved ones so very tight.
