Fifteen years to build it. One fire takes it all less than 24 hours before opening day. I built my Food Truck with my own hands, one piece at a time.
Today I'm asking for help to bring it back.
My name is Raymond Clay, and for 15 years I poured my life into this dream. Nobody handed it to me. I saved for years working as a nurse and taught myself everything — welding steel, fabrication, electrical, plumbing, painting, construction — building the truck one piece at a time. The setbacks were brutal. A contractor I trusted left the work so poorly done, I had to tear it down to the frame and rebuild it from scratch with my wife and kids. We never gave up. Today, July 3, 2026, was my final trial run, with the grand opening set for tomorrow. Then a fire started in the generator and spread fast. Fifteen years of work, gone in minutes — less than 24 hours before I was finally going to open. I've never found it easy to ask for help. But today I'm asking my community, friends, and anyone who believes in second chances. Every contribution goes toward rebuilding what was lostt. If you can't donate, even sharing this means more than I can say. I've spent 15 years proving I don't quit when life knocks me down — and I'm not quitting now.
