Hello, First of all, thank you for coming to our link. We are just a regular family trying to survive these times like everyone else on this planet. Currently, I'm helping my brother, Raymond, and his family raise funds to help with daily living necessities and upcoming medical expenses.
On Tuesday, April 14th, my brother was found unresponsive at his place of employment. He was rushed to a nearby, local area hospital for immediate medical treatment. Long story short, when he was a young man at the age of 17, he was diagnosed, intensely treated and beat Hodgkins Lymphoma disease - a rare and aggressive cancer at that time in the early 1990's. Fast forward 2 years, he was and has been in remission from that cancer since. Unfortunately, due to the intensity of chemotherapy and radiation treatment he has had to deal with long lasting side effects such as damage to his heart and other organs. This one particular issue creeps it's little head every so often and causes severe kidney and bladder issues/infections and will end up with sepsis. Sadly, in recent years, this issue has turned into multiple infections and hospitalizations a year. Obviously this affects his ability to work consistently and must wait to return until fully healed/cleared by his doctor.
This time around, it knocked him down hard and was intubated for 5 days, unresponsive and unable to move. I will say that we felt as if this was last time he would be able to fight and make a fully recover. It felt hopeless and unsure for almost a week. Luckily, it's been a couple of days now without breathing support and is now fully awake. But, the doctor's say this will be a lengthy recovery, perhaps longer than times before. The doctor's are still gauging what ongoing treatment or procedures he may need. We are taking his recovery and improvement on a day to day basis, but dealing with the uncertainty daily is heavy. His wife is by his side daily in order to support him and their teenage daughter as they go through this journey.
We are asking if you could help by donating any amount financially. Every dollar helps build some stability and will support the full recovery for my brother without worrying about needing to get back to work as soon as possible and risk relapse of an infection.
Our family thanks you from the bottom of each of our broken/healing hearts. Without our friends, family, community, and good people in this world, we would be without hope. Love and light to you and yours.
