Hi, my name is Brian and I'm raising funds to help Raymond Buckley live a better life following a horrific road accident.
Just after midnight on 1st January 2026 Raymond was walking home after celebrating the New Year with friends. He was struck by a vehicle that was then driven off without stopping, leaving Raymond with serious injuries to his legs and as a result had to have his left leg amputated. The police are still searching for the driver.
This is a life changing injury to anyone but especially to Raymond. Let me give you a outline of Raymond's life before this accident. He is 62 years old and has had learning difficulties since birth and as a result he struggles to speak clearly. He lives with his sister Elaine who cares for him but he is/was an independent guy in many ways. He can't drive but would be out walking around Winsford every day. He also loved to play bowls for Winsford Cons and Over Park and was a fair player as I can confirm. That was his life, and he never complained.
All that changed in an instant, he has lost a leg and may never be able to walk again nor play bowls, the sport he loved and lived for.
When he gets out of hospital he will need a lot of help and support, and any donations from you will go towards providing Raymond with the things he will need in the future. Thank you
