Help Raygun continue to get PTSD treatment

Donation protected
Hello! My name is Raygun and I've been in and out of treatment for PTSD for the last 5 years. I've had continued treatments through the last 3 years, in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospital programs (PHP), and residential treatment. I am currently in residential treatment in Wisconsin, which is the only place my insurance will cover my treatment, and I will soon be stepping down to a partial hospitalization program. With this lower level of care, my housing, meals, transportation and various other medical treatments will no longer be covered by my insurance. I have already secured a grant to cover my housing costs for the next few months while I complete PHP, but I need help with those other costs. That's where y'all come in! I am asking for community support so that I can continue to get the treatment I need to stay alive and keep moving towards healing and health. I am asking for $2,000 for my estimated 8 weeks of PHP treatment. This breaks down to $250 a week for the following, $50 for bills, $60 for copays for medical treatment, $80 for groceries and other household needs, and $60 for transportation. Anything not used at the end of PHP will go to covering my various other medical bills and debts.

I have been dealing with debilitating PTSD symptoms on a daily basis for the last 10+ years, these symptoms have fluctuated through my treatment, and are often at a level of intensity that makes many aspects of normal living extremely difficult or impossible (which is normal for PTSD treatment). These symptoms include: nightmares, trauma dreams, flashbacks, intrusive memories, anxiety disorder symptoms, depression symptoms, eating disorder symptoms, obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms, hyper-vigilance, emotional flashbacks, mood swings, body memories, disturbed sleep, insomnia, fatigue, paranoia, panic attacks, dissociation, suicidal ideation, memory loss, memory blackouts, concentration problems, severe startle reflex, executive function issues, and dissociative episodes which often cause temporary loss of hearing, sight, ability to speak, and/or ability to move. My current hospitalization has helped curb the intensity of many of these symptoms, and one of my treatment teams goals and expectations is to continue to decrease them further.

I have been working hard in residential treatment, and want to finish this program before I lose my health insurance in January, so I don't the have time or stability in symptoms to go home and work and save up and return for treatment. The treatments I have been through, or are currently attending are: eye movement desensitization and reprocessing psychotherapy, individual and group talk therapy, individual and group schema therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, individual and group dialectical behavioral therapy, individual and group cognitive processing therapy, group and individual behavioral activation therapy, somatic experiencing therapy, cognitive processing therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, group and individual exposure therapy, art therapy, music therapy, movement therapy, professionally led survivors of suicide support groups, individual counseling, eating disorder treatment, obsessive compulsive disorder treatment, treatment for depression, treatment for sexual trauma, anxiety treatment, image rehearsal therapy, support groups for survivors of sexual violence, healthy coping skills training, self-care practices training, assertiveness skills trainings. The majority of these therapies will be provided through my PHP but I will require additional supplemental treatment that will require copays. I am trying everything I can to heal and recover, I appreciate any and all contributions, shares of this campaign, and other kinds of support. I love yinz <3
