Over the past 3–4 years, my husband Ray has endured more than most could imagine — and he’s fought every battle with courage. He’s faced pan-sinusitis, cirrhosis, a broken back, spinal stenosis, and now, most recently, Posterior Subcapsular Cataracts — caused by years of medication and physical trauma.

On July 5, 2025, Ray woke up and suddenly found himself living in a fog. His vision had gone cloudy overnight. It happened that quickly.

The good news: insurance will cover the cataract surgery.

The bad news: it won’t cover the special lenses he needs to see clearly — and those lenses cost $5,000. After years of medical bills, surgeries, and treatments, we are tapped out financially.

Right now, Ray can’t drive. He’s become dependent on family and friends for even the most basic daily tasks. These lenses mean freedom, safety, and independence — and we want nothing more than to give him that gift.
