Help Ray Rebuild His Home After Hurricane Helene

Hello everyone,

My brother, Ray (a Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse), was one of the many Pinellas County, Florida residents who was majorly affected by Hurricane Helene. While he is (thankfully) physically okay, he has lost virtually all his personal effects and furniture due to the massive storm surge and flooding. When Ray was ordered to evacuate, he believed his Flood Insurance through the HOA would cover more than it apparently is. Now, instead of having the comfort of knowing he would be able to repurchase his lost household items, he is having to rebuild almost from scratch.

Especially in today's economy, there's few events more devastating than a natural disaster's storm surge and flooding. The water is septic, full of seawater and sewage, and it gets absolutely EVERYWHERE.

He's lost so much and we want to help but we can only do so much financially to help him repurchase everything he chose to make his condo his first home (and a cozy one at that)!

While we wait for the HOA, insurance, and other powers that be get all of the ruined, mildewy, and (starting to) mold items out of the condo and begin repairs, Ray will have to place any of the few salvageable items in storage, which will be a new monthly payment until he is given the all clear to move back in.

We know times are tough for so many, but if you're able to donate to help him reconstruct his home, we'd be forever grateful!
