Help Ray Overcome Health and Housing Crisis

Hello, my name is Ray and I'm a registered nurse who has always dedicated my life to helping others. Unfortunately, I now find myself in an unimaginable situation, facing severe health challenges due to long COVID and dysautonomia while also facing housing insecurity. After undergoing brain surgery just three months ago, my landlord has sold the home I've been renting, and I have only 30 days to find a new place to live.
How I Got Here
As a registered nurse, I spent years caring for patients on the front lines. Still, after contracting COVID-19, my life took an unexpected and devastating turn. Long COVID has caused me to develop dysautonomia. This condition affects my autonomic nervous system, leading to debilitating symptoms like extreme fatigue, dizziness, brain fog, syncope, frequent falls, palpitations, and heart rate fluctuations. These symptoms have made it a struggle to do everyday tasks. Last month I fainted and fractured 2 ribs. In addition to the physical toll, I recently underwent brain surgery to address complications related to my condition, further limiting my ability to pack and move. During this challenging time, I was informed that my landlord has sold the home I've been renting, and I now have just 30 days to find a new place to live—an incredibly difficult task when I am already facing mounting medical bills
How Your Support Will Help The funds I am raising will provide critical financial support during this difficult time.
Specifically, your donations will help cover:
• Rent & Relocation Costs: The cost of finding a safe, affordable place to live within the next 30 days and the cost of moving.
• Medical Bills & Expenses: Ongoing treatments for long COVID, dysautonomia, and the recovery from brain surgery. In February I will be traveling to Vanderbilt university for treatment of my Dysautonomia. These conditions have left me with high medical expenses
• Basic Living Expenses: Food, utilities, transportation, and other essentials as I navigate this health crisis.
Why Your Help Means So Much
I never imagined I would be in a position where I had to ask for help, but here I am. Every donation, no matter the size, will significantly impact my ability to keep a roof over my head and focus on healing. Your support will give me the stability I desperately need so I can focus on recovery rather than worrying about how to survive.
How You Can Help
If you are able to contribute, I will be forever grateful for your kindness and support. If a financial contribution is not possible for you at this time, sharing my story with your network would mean just as much. I'm incredibly grateful to have a community of people who care, and your help will make all the difference in my life. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I truly appreciate your generosity and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
With heartfelt thanks,
Ray
