Help Rey Marvive Head Custodian and Friend

My name is Andy McIntyre, and I am a teacher at Valley Junior High and  we want to raise some money for our dear friend and head custodian, Rey Marvive. This man was diagnosed, last February, with esophageal cancer. He has gone through intense chemotherapy and radiation starting in February. The treatments were hard on his body and he lost 52 pounds during this first round. Rey had to quit working because of the risk of infections being in a school and around so many germs and viruses. Rey has four boys ages 9, 12, 14 and 16 years old, and when the treatments didn’t work, he wanted to try again for his family. Currently, he is going through the next round, but has been told that his cancer is not curable. My heart hurt when I found this out, but Rey simply said, “I am just glad to still be here.” 


I have never heard Rey complain in the seven years I have known him, and he continues to stay positive even with his terminal diagnosis. I would like to help them pay for their mounting medical bills and possibly help them pay to do something fun as a family one last time. Rey would probably not approve of this GO FUND ME page due to his pure humbleness. He does not like handouts and would never ask for anything. I am asking for him. His wife let me know that Rey was worried about medical bills as his pay has been cut in half. Please let’s all rally behind Rey and his beautiful family. Let’s give him some peace of mind that his family will not suffer financially because of his medical bills.
