If you grew up in the Bay Area or are raising kids in the Bay Area, the chances are you have been to the Tilden Park Steam Trains. Known officially as the Redwood Valley Railway, we have been sharing our love of steam trains with Bay Area residents since 1952.

Anyone visiting the railroad during the last 45 years would most likely have taken a ride with our Chief Engineer, Ray Pimlott. In addition to training new locomotive engineers, Ray has been instrumental in overseeing the maintenance and operation of the railroad's fleet of steam locomotives.

Unfortunately, Ray, now 91 years old, is facing health conditions that require long-term care beyond what is financially available. We are asking anyone who has ever visited the railroad to help with even the smallest amount to give back to Ray, who has shared so much with all of us for almost five decades.
