Help Ray King Heal After Tragic Shooting
Donation protected
On Sunday, April 13th at 7:15 pm, I received a devastating phone call that my son, Ray King, was the victim of a mass shooting in Conway, Arkansas while away attending college in Little Rock. News reports stated that over 100 rounds were found and were fired from at least 6 different guns.
Ray was rushed immediately into surgery after suffering from a bullet wound to his back and was fighting for his life.
For 3 days, my son was sedated with heavy medications, tubes in his throat, nose, and throughout his body; staying in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for 6 days and still in the hospital (now it’s been 12 days). We have been continuously praying and pleading the blood of Jesus to completely heal his body.
Ray has had 2 additional surgical and medical procedures because the bullet hit his ribs and bullet fragments shattered in his back muscles (1 inch from his spine) and body. His right lung and other organs have been severely damaged and injured, but we’re so grateful that God saved Ray’s life!
Ray is still under the doctor’s care and is slowly recovering day by day. We know and have faith God will fully restore him!
Many have asked how they can help? I am accepting donations to assist with expenses I have and are continuously incurring in Arkansas. Some include flight, hotel, car rental, gas, food, medications, and necessities not covered by insurance for Ray to completely heal upon release from the hospital, including physical therapy, rehabilitation, and trauma counseling after being discharged.
Since the surgeons were not able to remove the bullet in Ray’s body, he will need continuous care and assistance while he fights back to complete health.
Due to the serious injuries Ray has sustained, the doctor will not clear him to fly. Therefore, I will have to rent a car (driving over 25 hours), get a hotel (for rest periods overnight), and make sure he is medically stable. Because I cannot do it alone, I will have to fly someone to Arkansas and get a hotel for them, because he will have to be driven back to California.
I am grateful for my family and friends who have called, texted, direct messaged my family, with continuous prayer, encouraging words, and donated directly to me.
We’re also praying for the families whose children’s lives were lost and for those who were injured as well.
Whatever amount donated is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your continuous prayers because it’s a long road ahead for healing and recovery. ❤️
