Help Ray battle cancer
Donation protected
People say life changes in a blink of an eye, but no one thinks they are going to be dealt life altering news on an ordinary Wednesday afternoon.....but that is exactly what happened to the our Family.
See it was not just any ordinary Wednesday, it was Ray's 61st birthday. (Ray is the center to my bonus family, my Norby Family. Ray is my father in law and Eric's first best friend.) Ray was in the hospital recovering from pneumonia when he got the devastating news....Ray was diagnosed with Acute Myeliod Leukemia.
In an instant everything changed. Expecting to be going home to celebrate his birthday with his family, was now being told he will be in the hospital for at least a month and starting chemotherapy right away. Not only missing his birthday but missing Christmas as well.
The good news is the wonderful staff at Evergreen Hospital found this early and it is treatable. Ray was transferred to the University of Washington Cancer center in Seattle for the best cancer care in Washington. But this is where we need help.....
Ray was the sole provider for the family and now is unable to work. He had just been hired for a new job that he wont be able to start and since he was between jobs he did not have active health insurance. Ray has always been the rock holding our family together and the hardest working guy I know (Thats where Eric gets his work ethic from) so you can only imagine how hard this is for Ray and Joanne.
Anything helps! Just a simple share of this GoFund Me page can make a huge impact! Any and every donation would be a huge blessing to Ray, Joanne and the family this holiday season. Since neither Ray or Joanne are working right now any donation would be a huge help with upcoming hospital bills, living expenses, groceries and gas for Joanne driving back and forth from Bothell to Seattle. And since this unfortunately happened in between health insurance, the bill will be astronomical.
Ray could use some holiday cheer so if you would life to send him a holiday card or get well wishes please feel free to send them to - 21428 6th ave w, Bothell WA 98021
I know we have an amazing group of friends and family so please pray for a miracle and a smooth and safe treatment for Ray. And please, please hug your loved ones.
