Many of you know Rawaa—the incredible woman who has dedicated her life to rescuing, feeding, and sheltering over 200 abandoned dogs in West Bekaa. Without funding, without institutional support, and often without even basic resources, she has given these dogs a chance at safety and love.
Now Rawaa needs us.
Rawaa’s Medical Emergency
Rawaa is currently in the ICU in Beirut after undergoing an emergency brain shunt removal and replacement surgery. She is fighting a severe neurological infection, needs radiation care, and her medical bills continue to skyrocket as she receives round-the-clock, life-saving care.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have already raised over $14,000, but her costs continue to add up.
The Shelter Crisis
While Rawaa fights in the hospital, her shelter, Bekaa Rescue and Shelter, faces an urgent crisis. The landowner of the current property in Ain Zebdi has asked us to vacate by December. Right now, the shelter is home to 150 dogs, and without a new location, they will have nowhere to go.
We are exploring a new farm in Al Manara, West Bekaa, but it will likely come with higher rent and setup costs like solar panels, basic furniture for staff, and fencing to keep the dogs safe. Monthly bills for food, medicine, and care are also piling up.
Why Your Support Matters
Rawaa’s mission has always been about giving life to those who have no one else. She poured everything into saving these dogs—and now both she and her shelter desperately need our help.
By donating today, you are:
- Giving Rawaa a chance to heal and return home.
- Keeping 150 dogs from losing their safe haven.
- Ensuring the continuation of a rescue mission built on love and sacrifice.
