Help 11-Year-Old Ravin Recover After a Rottweiler Attack

In Hope Lowlands, East Coast Demerara, Guyana, 11-year-old Ravin was viciously mauled by a Rottweiler as he went to collect school-related documents.

As he entered the yard, the dog attacked, dragging him back and biting his hand and shoulder. He was rushed to the Enmore Polyclinic, where doctors treated his wounds, but he remains in immense pain and is unable to move his hand. Doctors fear the bites may have damaged tendons, and he will likely need further specialized treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Ravin faces a long road to recovery and will need ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and support before he can return to school and regain full use of his hand.
