Help Raven Walk Again After Hip Surgery

Raven is my 10-month-old kitten, and she means everything to me. I adopted her from the Denver animal shelter when she was just 2 1/2 months old, seven years after losing my beloved dog. We quickly became inseparable, and I truly believe we were meant to find each other, especially since we even share the same birthday.

A few days ago, Raven started limping. When it didn’t get better after 24 hours, I took her to the vet. X-rays revealed she has Legg-Calvé-Perthes (LCP) disease, and one of her hips is already broken and necrotic. The only way to help her is urgent surgery to remove the rotted bone, which will give her the highly probable chance to move like a normal, happy kitten again after recovery.

This news has been devastating. I can’t imagine losing Raven so soon after finally finding the perfect companion. She’s still just a baby and deserves a long, joyful life. I want to do everything I can to give her that chance, but the cost of surgery is more than I can manage alone. Any help or support whether through a donation or sharing our story would mean the world to both of us. Thank you for reading and for caring about Raven’s future.
