Help Raven Recover Car Scam Costs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Caroline and I’m fundraising for my friend, Raven.
Raven recently bought a car from a private seller who lied about the car’s condition and falsified documents from local auto shops. One document stated that the head gaskets, clutch and water pump were recently replaced.
He told her he wanted it the car to go to a good family.
He told her was selling it to her for $500 less than he was offered at a dealership because she seemed like a good person.
He told her he was a family man.
He told her it had been well taken care of and all routine maintenance was up to date.
She believed him and bought the car for $3900 cash.
While driving the car home it overheated.
The seller was suddenly unresponsive to all calls and texts.
A well-respected local mechanic checked it out a few days later and said that the auto shop documents the seller provided were fake. He said that it needed at least $5000 in repairs, which included replacing the head gaskets and water pump. The engine might need to be replaced too.
Raven was scammed.
As a single mother, Raven already has more than enough responsibilities. Being scammed when buying a car for her family should not be something she has to deal with.
Let’s help her out.
Raven is one of the most generous and caring people I know. Not only is she an amazing, loving and devoted mom to two children, but she has been a caretaker for multiple families’ children for many years, including my own.
Kids love her.
Parents fully trust her.
Raven’s generosity with her time, energy and heart for her community is remarkable.
She shows up for us. Let’s show up for her.
Let’s raise $3900 for Raven so that she can buy a car that works.
