Help Raven Stay at Howard University

Hello! My name is Raven Troupe, and I’m a proud junior at Howard University, majoring in sports management. As a first-generation college student from the South Side of Chicago, my journey to Howard has been filled with determination, sacrifice, and a deep passion for giving back through sports.

I was first introduced to the business side of sports in high school, thanks to the support of amazing educators and nonprofit organizations in Chicago. That experience changed everything—it showed me how I could combine my love for sports with community engagement. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to pursuing a career in the sports industry with a focus on youth empowerment and community impact.

At Howard, I’ve remained committed both inside and outside the classroom. I’m a proud member of Ladies of the Quad Social Club, where we mentor and support incoming freshman women through their transition to college life. I’ve also worked with various sports organizations in the D.C. area, gaining hands-on experience while maintaining my academic responsibilities.

Unfortunately, due to rising tuition and housing costs, I’m facing a financial barrier that could prevent me from registering for classes this fall. I’m currently seeking support to raise $16,000 to cover my remaining balance and continue my education at Howard University.
