Hi guys!

As some of you might know I’ve been in serious need of relocating from my current living situation. Although it’s been sweet having a small studio for myself and Maggie, my pit-beagle, it hasn’t come without its hijinks.

In the last year or so i’ve encountered some serious problems in my current home which has made it clear I need to leave

Here are some of the reasons I have to leave ranging from mental health, to safety, to financial.

Last year I came home from seeing some friends only to discover my neighbor impaled by his throat on the outside gate after taking his life. It was right next to the side gate I use to enter the building, and it was my neighbor that was directly above my unit so the scene was also right outside my window. After i called the authorities and sirens came, left, and the fence was replaced, the occurrence stayed with me. Putting it mildly, it was a truly traumatizing experience . My mental health, which I’ve always struggled with, took a big hit. I became increasingly stressed and on edge, with it affecting different parts of my life.

It’s had an effect on the building in general with everyone becoming more on edge, paranoid, and suspicious. One neighbor even threatened me and couple other neighbors. I think we have all seen a dead body but nothing was quite like this.

More recently, me and Maggie were attacked on our walk home at night. Some guy ran up from behind and tried to rip my sling bag off me (it was literally wrapped around me) and after a tussle i managed to fend ‘em off before he ran off with his friend. Maggie and I are fine but man was that the cherry on top.

In April my lease is finally up, with it the reduced price I was paying for my studio will also cease to exist and my rent will jump exponentially. Even with the amount of work I put in I would not be able to pay my rent + all my other bills (my student loan payments alone are almost a second rent payment each month). An added issue that I have is that in signing an extended lease I didn’t have to pay a deposit which is great coming in but terrible coming out.

So that gives you an idea

Now, living in the bay is notoriously expensive and moving can be insanely difficult when you factor in moving costs, deposits, past debts etc. Add in an ESA pit-beagle and it gets even harder.

Ive applied to grants and assistance programs but Im not the only person struggling out here and help is in short supply unfortunately. I could take on more commissions and more work but with my workload I would only burn myself out more than I already am.

I really wish I didn’t need help but sadly I really do.
