As many of you know, my friend (and former student) Rasmane hasn’t seen his family in Burkina Faso since December 2013. After almost 12 years, I’m so excited to share that he finally has his papers and will be reunited with his wife and daughter!

Rasmane is one of the most positive and determined people I’ve ever met. I’ve watched him go from washing dishes, to working security, to driving Uber, and now driving trucks across the country. His perseverance and spirit inspire everyone around him.

He means so much to me, and I’d love to send him home with a little extra money — a gift from all of us — to show how much this community supports him
