Help Rashad After the Loss of His Only Parent

Hello, my name is Saidat, and I am the sister of Ashanti Samuels — a beautiful soul with a fierce spirit and the biggest heart. Ashanti was a loving, generous woman who fought with incredible strength and grace through years of health challenges, including an autoimmune disease, congestive heart failure, and liver failure.

On June 22, after a long and courageous battle, Ashanti was taken off life support and passed away peacefully. Her passing has left a deep void in all of our lives — especially in the life of her only child, Rashad.

Rashad is now facing the unimaginable: the lost his mother — the only parent he has ever known. In the midst of his grief, he is also now responsible for covering her funeral and memorial expenses, as well as the outstanding bills related to her illness and care.

No one should have to carry this kind of burden while mourning the loss of their parent.
