"Hi my name is Ras, RAZ- like Raspberry!" --That is exactly how she introduced herself to me nearly 4 years ago and it was friendship at first sight.
WHO IS RAS ? A LOVING wife, hard working Mother of 3 beautiful girls, AMAZING friend, and is one of the most POSITIVE ~ altruistic person I have met.
The Backstory:
It was 2011, 4 days- before Ras's 30th birthday. She received the daunting phone call stating that she had Stage 2 -breast cancer. Her 2 daughters were at the tender ages of just 3 & 5 years old.
Chemotherapy took a rapid toll on Ras's body which made her lose all of her hair and go blind in one of her eyes. Both children were too young to understand what was happening.
Financial burdens were a real struggle but her husband Tommy and Ras did everything as parents to save their first home and keep food on the table for their family during this tough difficult time.
Ras survived and beat breast cancer!
In 2014:
Breast cancer unfortunately returned. This time, during Ras's third pregnancy with her youngest daughter Addison, who is now age 4.
But Guess What?! Ras BEAT BREAST CANCER again a 2nd time!
The Current Situation: December 3, 2018.
Ras has been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Ras is unable to work at this time due to her condition and her battle has already begun. She is staying positive as always and appreciates all of your support through this journey and all of your kind words of encouragement!
