My sister Raquel and her children have had a very rough 2025 as we all lost our Mother Theressa in June. Finances were strained to even provide a funeral for her and to bring her whole family to say their final goodbyes. Raquel was finally able to land a job and a place after dealing with homelessness for 2 years. After trying to push through the rest of the year with the support of family and friends we looked forward to new beginnings starting in 2026. Tragically Raquel's home burnt down in a fire causing them to loose everything and start from scratch again. Luckily no one was home and everyone is safe but staying in a motel with her current pay is not sustainable in the long term. Her second oldest Zalex is about to leave for college again but is struggle with food security with how tight money is back home. Her second youngest Zoe is at the community college but is also struggling to find a secure job as well. We understand that our story is all too familiar with how strained the world feels at this moment, we only ask that if you have the extra funds to send what you can to give some cushion and security to this family who simply needs some stability after an extremely tumultuous year.
