My name is Raquel, and I’m reaching out for help for my family—my spouse Xavier and our three children, ages 13, 12, and 10. We were recently evicted from our home, and right now, we’re staying in a motel while we try to get back on our feet. Life has been especially challenging since I lost my job and my unemployment has run out. Xavier has been unable to work for the past two years due to multiple surgeries, and while he receives disability once a month, it’s just not enough to cover all our needs.

Every day, we’re doing our best to keep our family safe and together. The funds we raise will go directly toward paying for our motel room, food, hygiene products, and the essentials our kids need for school. With the holidays coming up, I’m also hoping to give my children a little something for Christmas to lift their spirits during this difficult time.
