Help Raquel Walk Again Without Pain
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Linda and I’m reaching out with a humble request for support on behalf of my coworker Sam’s mother in law, Raquel Tagle García, a 73-year-old woman who has always lived with grace, dignity, and strength — but is now in urgent need of help to regain her mobility and quality of life.
For the past six months, Raquel has been suffering from severe and worsening chronic pain in her lower back and right leg. This pain has made it nearly impossible for her to walk or carry out basic daily activities. She describes the pain as sharp, burning, and constant — radiating from her lower back down through her hip and leg. Simple things like getting out of bed, walking to the kitchen, or enjoying time with her grandchildren have become unbearable.
Recently, after undergoing an MRI, Raquel was diagnosed with a herniated disc at L5-S1 with nerve compression, along with spinal canal narrowing (stenosis) and degenerative joint disease in her lower spine. Her condition affects the nerves that control leg movement and sensation, and the pain is only expected to worsen without treatment.
Her orthopedic specialist, Dr. Armando Bautista Farías, has recommended urgent spinal surgery including:
• Discectomy (removal of the herniated disc portion),
• Hemifacetectomy (removal of part of the vertebral joint),
• Resection of hypertrophied ligaments, and
• Possible decompression at an additional spinal level.
This surgery is not optional — it’s the only viable path to relieve her pain, prevent permanent nerve damage, and allow her to walk again without agony. However, the cost of the procedure, hospital stay, medications, and recovery expenses are beyond what our family can afford on our own.
We are seeking to raise [$ amount, e.g., $10,000] to cover:
• The cost of the surgery
• Hospital and recovery care
• Post-surgical physical therapy
• Transportation and medical supplies
Raquel is a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She has always given to others with an open heart. Now, we ask for your help to give her the chance to live without pain and regain her independence.
Any amount you can give will make a difference — even a small donation helps us move one step closer to her recovery. If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Linda, Sam’s Family
