I have sickle cell disease and I have been off work for about a month due to treatment. During this time, I lost my job and my insurance. I'm in the process of getting new insurance, but it's taking longer since I can't leave the hospital until my procedure is done. Afterward, I'll need to stay indoors because I'll be immune compromised.
Living with sickle cell disease means my body is constantly under strain. It can cause severe pain, fatigue, and affect vital organs, sometimes leading to hospital stays. This has made it difficult to keep up with everyday expenses, and the uncertainty of my health makes planning for the future challenging. I am worried about how I will manage my medical bills, car payments, and help my parents with household expenses while I recover.
I’m truly grateful for any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing my story, or keeping me in your prayers. Every bit means more than words can express, and your kindness will help me focus on healing and getting back on my feet.
