My name is Raquel, I’m 23 years old and a first-gen college student. I’m currently enrolled in University for my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, thanks to the help of a local benefactor.
I’m so thankful and this alone makes a massive difference, but unfortunately I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to make all ends meet. I also drive a 12+ yr old car that requires routine upkeep in order to keep it in working order.
I live in an apartment and work part-time (fast food) outside of school.
I do not have health insurance, I wear corrective lenses (that truly need updating), I have 2 beautiful loving cats, one with special dietary needs and medicine that she can’t go without, as well as my lovely parents who are helping to the best of their ability at this time.
With Christmas, the New Year, and my increasing rent incoming, I could use some financial assistance. Currently, I don’t have enough funds to be able to gift shop for my loved ones; I understand Christmas is just around the corner. But between my bills, gas, food, potential medical needs, and trying to gift shop for my family, I could use any assistance I could get.
I am an All-A’s student and have only just begun my journey at Uni for my BA. I do not want to potentially disappoint my benefactor, my colleagues, and especially my parents if I cannot keep up with all the financial responsibilities, paired with schooling, on me currently.
How funds raised would be used: at least $500-$700 put away for emergency savings, seeing as I haven’t been able to put away any funds recently with living expenses and grocery needs and any remainder would be put towards essentials and my cats.
If anyone is interested in assisting me, please consider donating. Thank you very much for reading.
