I'm Ranjani Groth - a photographer, wife to Bradley, and Denver resident. After 10+ years of debilitating pain and infertility, my doctors recommend that I undergo endometriosis surgery. This procedure aims to remove endometriosis tissue and scar tissue. I currently experience daily pain - every month I spend days in bed, which interferes with work and life. This surgery will bring healing from pain and, most importantly for me, increase my chances of having children.
Even with my husband's great insurance plan, the out-of-pocket cost is more than we can manage. Insurance will only cover a portion. I need $4000 total: $2000 in order to schedule the surgery and $2000 more due one month before the surgery. My goal is to schedule it for June 27, 2025, as this is the only time I can take off work for the recommended 2 weeks of recovery.
It takes an average of 6-10 years for most women to receive an endometriosis diagnosis. Because there is so little funding or research for this chronic disease, a definitive diagnosis and treatment require surgery - which can be a major barrier for someone like me.
Any amount can help toward my goal. Thanks for taking the time to learn more and help.
