Hi everyone! My name is Rania Ismail, recently my brother, Ramiz and I found out on March 6th that our mom has stage 4 metastatic cancer. It started from the upper GI tract. Currently, my mom passed away on April 2nd. My mom is such an amazing person and always cared for everyone. She always lend a helping hand and wanted to support people through tough times. As you can imagine, my brother and I have so much on our plate. We haven’t been able to even take the time to process anything because of all the stress occurring in both of our lives. While this has all been happening, my brother and I have been my dad’s primary caregivers due to my dad having dementia that was diagnosed in June of 2025. My dad also has a spinal cord issue which prevented him from basic mobility such as walking. This was caused from intense arthritis. My mom was my dad’s previous caretaker however, due to her illness that she unfortunately had been suffering with, she had been unable to leaving my brother and I to deal with all the major responsibilities such as caretaking, dealing with expenses, and talking to multiple doctors on a daily basis. My family and I are in need of help and any assistance that people can provide would be greatly appreciated. Some of the expenses we are currently dealing with, is funding for my mom’s funeral expenses as well as her hospital expenses. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
