Ranger, my brother’s dog, is gentle and non-aggressive, but recently suffered a traumatic attack in our rural neighborhood. While wandering off, he encountered a neighbor’s female Rottweiler, who was unattended and unfenced. Tragically, she viciously attacked Ranger, leaving him with over a dozen defensive wounds and torn skin on his body, belly, and legs. Despite his injuries, Ranger managed to run home, but the ordeal left him in need of urgent medical care.

My brother reached out to the neighbor for help with the vet bills, but unfortunately, the neighbor refused to contribute, even though he had previously received warnings about his dog’s behavior. With the main household income on pause due to a union strike, the mounting veterinary expenses have become overwhelming, and more care is needed for Ranger’s recovery.
