I started Range to Refuge because I care deeply about the wild mustangs and burros that too often get overlooked. This fundraiser is for my organization and for the animals we are working to save through the BLM sale program. These are horses and burros who are over 10 years old or who have been passed over at adoption events three times, which makes them eligible to be sold outright. When that happens, their futures can become incredibly uncertain, and some end up being sold to slaughterhouses if no one steps in. I could not ignore what happens to animals who are still worthy of safety, care, and a real second chance.

When we step in, we are not just paying to obtain a horse. The real work begins after that. Donations help us arrange safe transport with a covered stock trailer, create secure corral space with about 400 square feet per horse and 6-foot fencing, and cover first vet care and gentling so each animal has a safe landing. Range to Refuge is an independent organization, not run or endorsed by the BLM, and every rescue takes planning, labor, and resources.
