Help Ranell & her Family Recover After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
My name is Kari Taylor and I reside in California. On January 8, 2025, a devastating fire ravaged through Altadena, leaving many families in ruins. Among them is my beloved cousin Ranell Wormley, her daughter La Porche and her two grandchildren.

Just recently, Ranell faced the heart-wrenching loss of her mother to Parkinson's Disease. Her only son is currently in the hospital, fighting for his life due to complications from diabetes. As if these hardships were not enough, Ranell, her daughter La Porche, and her two grandchildren lost their home and everything they owned in the Altadena fire. All their important papers, photos of life's memories, clothes, furniture, and keepsakes, were consumed by the flames. Her daughter Lauren and her 5 children along with her son and his 3 children also had possessions at the house that were destroyed by fire.

Ranell is not just a normal person. She dedicated her life caring for others as an LVN at USC Medical Center for 40 years and was one of the front line workers during Covid 19. Her home was not just any house. It was a house of Love. Ranell’s Mom and Dad brought the home in 1974 and Ranell, her sister, and brother grew up there. Ranell’s Mom also opened her home to people who needed a place to stay when they were in crisis. Which means a special person lost her very special home, which served as a haven for Ranell, her children, Grandchildren. and several others when in need as well.

In a desperate rush to save their lives, escaping the flames that had already consumed their back yard, they had only enough time to grab a change of clothes and their purses. They left behind a lifetime of memories and possessions, escaping with nothing but their lives.

I cannot imagine the depth of their despair, but I refuse to sit back and do nothing. That's why I am setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help Ranell and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Your heartfelt donations can provide them with temporary housing, essential items, and medical expenses as they work to get back on their feet.

While no amount of money can replace their precious memories and what they have lost, we can help them find stability and hope in this challenging time.

Please consider making a donation to support Ranell and her family. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference. If you're unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. All donations go directly to Ranell and her family.

Together, we can provide Ranell, her daughters, her son, and her grandchildren with the support they need to start anew. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
