Help Randy Whitley’s Family Overcome Unbelievable Tragedy

My name is Gary Lockman and my goal is to raise $20,000 or more for the Randy Whitley family who are at a difficult time in their lives due to a series of tragic events.

Randy worked for me for almost 20 years at Manor Homes, Inc. in Conyers, Georgia, where my residential home building company was located.

He was injured in 2007, but I kept him on full-time with limited duties.

Then, 2008 happened to the home-building industry. I had to close my company in 2010.

Randy then went on disability.

He was able to make ends meet with some savings, disability, and income from his son Randall, who worked in landscaping.

In 2023, the unthinkable happened. His son Randall was murdered, and Martha, Randy Sr.’s wife of 42 years, died a few months later from cancer and a broken heart.

His daughter, Crystal Rush and her three children live with him and help care for him and the children. At age 60, he now has diabetes and heart issues.

One of Crystal’s sons suffers from seizures and serious health issues. Amazingly though, through all of this family trauma, the children are serious students and do well.

Crystal’s husband passed away about 9 years ago from pancreatic cancer.

His income was a great help for the entire family until then.

Randy has never called me for help.

The only reason I know of this situation is that I called to see how his 60th birthday went. Crystal told me that Randy was not well, physically or spiritually. He is very stressed and emotionally exhausted.

He has no debt on his home, but he does not have funds for the 2024 property tax of $1,600.

They own an older car that barely runs, and a truck that is not drivable.

Their biggest need is food, and for payment of utilities (behind almost $1,000), and funds for medical co-pays. They have large medical debt.

However, their need goes beyond the immediate needs - with limited income and huge medical needs for years to come.

I know this family well and they have always worked hard to make ends meet. They have deep faith that God will provide.

I believe He is using those of us who are able to give, as His right hand to help this family, through this amazing platform.
