My husband Randy and I have always been creative, warm, and generous people, supporting others whenever we could. Our lives changed dramatically two years ago when Randy suffered a fall that resulted in a fractured back, aortic valve replacement, and a leukemia diagnosis. He was forced to retire as his health declined, and since then, our journey has been filled with challenges. A year ago, I faced my own health crisis and underwent life-threatening surgery. Since August 2025, we have had no income, and Randy was in and out of the hospital for months. Despite exhausting our savings and investments, the medical bills and daily expenses have become overwhelming. We are now struggling to pay our bills, especially our mortgage, and are at risk of losing our home.
The funds raised will help us keep a roof over our heads by covering mortgage payments, daily living expenses, and Randy's ongoing medical care. As Randy experiences cognitive decline, I have become his full-time caregiver, handling all cooking, cleaning, and personal care. I cannot leave him alone for long periods, making it impossible to work outside the home. We have always been the ones to help others, and now we find ourselves in need of help.
I'm reaching out to the GoFundMe Community for help as your generosity will make a significant difference in our lives. Thank you for considering this and being part of our extended family during this challenging time.
